    This place is the greatest.  I have never been disappointed, unless they happen to be out of one of my favorites.  If you're lucky, you'll find sandwiches when you're there, they usually are stacked on the checkout counter or you may have to ask.
    However, I don't understand this comment: "Let me tell you this upfront - this place is located in a really really shady neighborhood. I was scared to death when I looked around,....".
    There is nothing shady about this neighborhood!  There may be old buildings and there are lots of people of Mexican descent, why is this scary????????????   I am not Spanish, but I would not have any concern walking the local streets with my grandson.  Get a life.

    By the way, if you go east down Springwells about a mile, there is a great old time Italian restaurant, Steve's.  Try it and you'll like it.

    No more ferrating for tres leches cake in Michigan. Yay! Finally i found a bakery that has authentic mexican deserts. I dont have a sweet tooth, but when it comes to tresleches, Hands down i will dig in. I have been there more than 6 times for birthday cakes. It has wide variety of donuts, pasteries, cakes, etc. I would highly recommend this place.

    Most unique cakes you gonna find, a large selection of fresh Mexican baked goods like no other around town.  I Love the big round brown chunks with chocolate on top they call them the ROCK,  cookie, cake, breads, rolls, coffee too. Just load up a tray of goodies on the cheap.

    We called in an order for a pink/purple unicorn cake for my daughter. My husband just asked that they "make it pretty". The cake we picked up was beyond my expectations. Absolutely beautiful and tasted wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about Shelia's Bakery.
